Sacrifice Charter

Sacrifice was founded in 2001 by Thezdin on the principles of loyalty, teamwork, and exceptional players. The policies below have fostered an unmatched guild community that continues to grow after a decade of competitive play that has resulted in Sacrifice being a well recognized name across multiple online games.

Ethics

Members of the guild are expected to act as mature adults at all times. Above all else, Sacrifice is meant to foster an entertaining community, but this is never to be done so at the cost of others. As such, all members are expected to act accordingly:

Do Not..

  • Bait, or participate in trolling of any kind, in any public channel.
  • Post on public forums so as to incite trolling, drama, etc.
  • Steal from or rip-off anyone in game of any materials, items, or raw currency.
  • Escalate personal ribbing or "bar talk" into personal attacks within guild chat, or ventrilo.
  • Share private guild information or passwords.
  • Share your account or guild website access with anyone outside of Sacrifice.

Do..

  • Report any exploits or hacks you notice yourself, or of others.
  • Treat everyone, inside and out of Sacrifice, with respect.
  • Respect the guild and its history, and represent it accordingly.

The general rule of thumb here is, do not be a douchebag, act like an adult, and represent the guild respectfully. We're all adults and trolling isn't funny

Loot System

If you are interested in an item, wait for the item to be up for consideration. Once it is, you simply link your current item(s) to Thezdin in game, and the council will vote on all interested members and decide accordingly. If any member on the council is interested in an item they will be ineligible to vote for themselves. If the item is for your off-spec, you simply link the item along with the text "offspec" - for example: /tell Thezdin [itemname] offspec

Items are awarded on the basis of (in order): Usability (BiS or not), Performance, 30-day Attendance, Recent Loot.

Vanity items and mounts will be rolled upon weighted exclusively by lifetime attendance (based on your first raid). Those with 90-100% attendance roll out of 150. 75% - 89% roll out of 120, all other raiders roll out of 100.
