Sacrifice is a guild based solely upon the loyalty and dedication of its members. While many would pidgen hole us as a power gaming elitist guild, we are first and foremost a group of friends and family that share an obsessive passion for competitive gaming.
Our roots are in Dark Age of Camelot, and while we did spend almost two full years experiencing World of WarCraft, most of our members agree that our interests align much better with Realm vs. Realm PvP. We had our great moments in WoW, but it's hard to compare the thrill and rush of an epic RvR battle with the sense of dread over loot drama immediately following a raid kill in WoW.
Above and beyond common sense, maturity, and a sense of humor, the following is expected of all guild members:
- Consistent high level of play. We play competitively to win, and while having fun is an essential part of gaming, getting your ass kicked because people aren't paying attention, don't care, or just quite frankly do not play their class well, is not fun.
- UI Mods/Addons - Sometimes raiding or RvR battles are augmented substantially by specific addons. In some cases these addons will be required to participate as they facilitate in-game communication, organization, or both.
- Reliable internet connection and computer. We don't care if you have the Falcon-NW Mach 29, or an eMachines that only catches on fire once a week, as long as you log in regularly, and don't use lag as an excuse. If you want to participate you need to have a machine that can handle the game at a playable level. This includes being able to play in large sieges and raids without having to disable every possible setting, and thus reduce your chance to acknowledge key spells, abilities, etc.
- Ventrilo - we have a ventrilo server, and you are expected to be logged into it on a nightly basis. Although it would certainly benefit the guild/group if you spoke, you do not need to.
- Consistently logged in - Our members are expected to be logging in on a regular basis. Whatever your schedule allows. Inactivity for more than a week without giving some kind of warning to the guild, will result in you being removed from the active roster.
- Respect. RvR requires a battle leader, and an immense amount of coordination and communication. You are free to disagree with how things are run, but not during a skirmish/scenario/raid. Doing so results in nothing short of chaos and almost indefinitely failure at whatever we're doing. Consistently doing so will get you removed from the guild quickly.
- Listen to the guild leader/officers and we'll regularly succeed if we work as a team. And if we don't, that's your opportunity to make suggestions for new strategies/plans.
- Alternate characters (twinks) are generally not allowed. You're in the guild to participate on your main character. If we have a need for a specific class, and you offer to fill that role, that is of course an exception. Playing alts while the guild is actively RvR'ing or raiding will result in your removal from the active roster.
- Sharing your account with anyone outside of the guild will get you immediately removed from the guild and banned from the guild website.
- When in doubt, ask an officer.
Things to keep in mind..
- After pooping, you must wipe your ass while sitting down. Wiping while standing up is just fucking wierd. Why would you do that, seriously?
- All members are required to regularly tell Steve to shut up.
- All members must remind Howie that he has a wee wee.
- If you prefer Star Wars over Lord of the Rings, you are wrong.
- Never argue with Maluther on the forums. Please just don't.
- Moistness.
- Don't talk about Linux, Microsoft, or SUN. It will spawn Sepulchrum.
- When in ventrilo, do not use voice activation. We don't want to hear you sneeze, fart, scratch your ass, and yell at your boyfriend for teabagging you.
- Generally speaking. Thezdin is a tyrant.
